Dr Timothy Shakespeare

Areas of Specialisation
Dr Shakespeare provides anaesthesia care for most surgical and medical procedural specialties (excluding open heart surgery or very young babies). He has special interest in vascular surgery, neurosurgery and sub-specialist training in Regional Anaesthesia, Acute Pain medicine and High Risk Obstetric Anaesthesia.

Dr Shakespeare received his primary medical degree from The University of Melbourne and completed his junior medical training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. He underwent his specialist anaesthesia training primarily at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, with attachment to several major Melbourne Hospitals and excellent rural medical services, including Geelong. After receiving his fellowship from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, Dr Shakespeare and his growing family traveled to Edmonton in Canada to undertake a Clinical Fellowship in Regional Anaesthesiology and Acute Pain medicine at The University of Alberta, under the world renowned Professor Ban Tsui. Soon after returning to Australia, Dr Shakespeare and his young family moved to the Surf Coast and he has now been working in Geelong since 2013.
