Dr Joanne Kara

I provide anaesthesia for a wide range of specialties and procedures except Cardiac and children under 2 years of age.

I hail from Aotearoa (New Zealand) but have been living and working in the Geelong Region for the past 24 years. I completed my medical degrees at Auckland University, started my Anaesthetic training in New Zealand then completed it through the Geelong Anaesthetic training scheme. Over the years I have dabbled in some ICU and Chronic Pain. I have a special interest in Regional Anaesthesia and Acute Pain and Managed the Acute Pain Service at University Hospital Geelong for several years.
